A Christmas present I worked up for my twin brother. He and I jokingly call it a "Scanket" because it falls somewhere in size between a SCarf and a blANKET. I originally planned on using an I Hook, but couldn't find mine at the time and was in a hurry to get started.....I used a J Hook and that was just too much. He will be extremely warm this winter, that is for sure.
This is an original piece. I spent an hour here and an hour there with graph paper to create the skulls to my liking. I pixel on my main account and it turns out filet crochet is a lot of pixeling. I actually had 3 or 4 different ideas for the checkerboard area (it is the middle panel on the scarf and was used to turn the skulls so they were all right side up when the scarf is worn), but realized the scarf was taking on a life of its own at this point and did something simple to keep the length from eating my brother. It was still over 6 feet long when I was all done. The upside? My brother has a large head, so I told him this giant accessory would help to make it look smaller.
Sorry for the crap photos, the top two are WIP's shots I got with my phone. This bad boy was so big it was difficult to get good shots of it when it was finished.
